Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Head, of Department of Earth Sciences, has won a grant worth 10.6 Million PKR
It is a pleasure to share the good news that Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Head, of Department of Earth Sciences, has won a grant worth ~10.6 Million PKR for the NRPU research project entitled “SUTURING PROCESS AND TIMING OF INDIA-ASIA COLLISION ALONG THE NORTHWESTERN MARGIN OF INDIAN PLATE, PAKISTAN”. This project will address the processes involved in shaping the Himalayan mountain system and their impact on generating the metallogenic provinces from 65 Million years ago to the present. The data of this project is equally important to know the dynamics of Climate change associated with the mountain-building processes that turned the fertile agricultural lands into a desert.
We heartily congratulate him on this achievement.
