Scholarships for Flood Affected Students under USAID funded Merit and Needs based Scholarship Program

The date for online application of the subject scholarship has been extended till April 10, 2023. 

Recent devastating floods in Pakistan have caused unprecedented damage and loss to the livelihood of people in millions. The floods have impacted the infrastructures of public schools, colleges, and universities. For those students who are already enrolled in the universities and affected by the floods due to damage of households and means of earning, their prospects for the continuation of higher education are now minimal.  

To support students who no longer can continue their university education due to the loss of livelihoods caused by recent floods, USAID funded under Merit and needs-based Scholarship program will provide financial support in their degree completion process.  

   Eligibility criteria:  

   Must be enrolled in 5th or 6th   semester in Undergraduate degree programs in Engineering & Technology discipline only.  

  1. Belong to districts/sub-districts/UC Tehsils affected by the floods identified by the Government of Pakistan/PDMA/District Administration.  
  2. Provide proof of flood damage such as household, livelihood etc. and how it has impacted their higher education  
  3. The students will be required to apply online . Date of opening of the e-application will be announced shortly.  
  4.  Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Institutional Scholarship Award Committee of the University for consideration of financial assistance.  
  5. 50% of scholarships will be reserved for females.  
  6. Scholarship coverage include tuition fee and stipend for duration of last 03 semesters only
