ISO Internal Auditing Workshop

ISO standards are significant for the organization’s success and it helps to meet the requirement of the client and regulatory body and the objective of the standards are attained by the trained team of the organization. QEC, CIIT Abbottabad organized two days training workshop on ISO Internal Auditing to train the sections/Departmental ISO coordinators  to become a qualified ISO 9001 internal auditor and guarantee future success with the highest in quality standards and to ensure that  COMSATS quality management system reaches its fullest potential. 31 participants representing almost all the sections/departments of the campus participated in the workshop which was conducted by Mr. Abdul Ghaffar, Senior Manager Projects (Middle East) of CONSTECH.

The training workshop was scheduled for two days i.e.  May 25 - 27, 2016, during whichthe participants were provided an explanation of requirements of standards as applicable to ISO 9001and requirements of Auditing skills i.e. explained the internal auditing process and techniques, documentation process, information on how to conduct internal audit, write the audit report and take corrective action, and auditing case studies to develop skills for identifying and dealing with nonconformance.

 At the inception of the training, Mr. Amjad Qaisrani, Deputy Register QEC, welcomed the trainees warmly and gave them a briefed presentation about the importance of ISO Certification for an organization. He encouraged the participants to obtain the maximum benefit from this ISO Internal Audit training.

 In the ISO Internal Audit Workshop, the participants gained significant insight to the intricate process that facilitates the review of controlled document.  This intricate process requires teamwork and a shared commitment for quality that involves representatives from every department/section who are evaluated by qualified internal auditors.
