Welcome to the Department of Chemistry at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Pakistan. As chemistry is vital for sustaining life on earth, in a similar manner, the chemistry department is one of the distinguished departments in the CUI system. It is established in three CUI campuses: viz; Islamabad, Lahore, and Abbottabad. Highly qualified faculty members are providing their services in chemistry departments across all three campuses. The graduates are trained with multidisciplinary skills which are required for success in their professional careers. Various degree programs including BS, MS, and

Ph.D. in Chemistry are offered with the motivation to equip the students with up-to-date knowledge as well as research data handling skills that allow them to prosper in their future endeavors. Dedicated research labs as well as research project labs are available for conducting research convincingly within a limited period of time and hence, timely completion of respective degrees is ensured. Training workshops and seminars are also organized from time to time to provide students with updates on the current trends in the field of chemistry as well as hands-on training on various equipment like NMR, UV-visible spectrophotometers, fluorescence spectrophotometers, zeta-sizer, potentiostat, HPLC, vibrating sample magnetometer, etc., to name a few of the available research facilities. Our Ph.D. graduates are working successfully in various national and international universities and institutes. A conducive and progressive environment coupled with the zeal to flourish guarantees that the Chemistry department at CUI systems is the best of all the available choices for perusing any degree program in chemistry.
