Can I apply for admissions based on SSC (Matric) marks?

Yes. You can apply based on SSC marks if your result of HSSC is awaited.

When can I apply for Admission at COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus?

At COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus we have two rounds of Admissions for Undergraduate programs and Graduate programs (MS and PhD) in Spring and in Fall sessions. For latest updates, keep visiting our campus website.

How do I create an online admission account?

CUI Online application can be created through the campus website. To create an online application account with the CUI Online Application Portal, you are required to have a valid email address. Please use your Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail account to create your online application account. Applicants are advised to have at least two active email addresses so that in case of any problem with their email account they can still correspond with the COMSATS Abbottabad Admissions office through their second address. It is advised to create only one account for the online application submission.

Is it possible to make changes to the online application after submitting it?

No, you can’t make changes to the application once it is submitted; therefore, you are advised to fill out your application carefully.

Can I submit the application after the deadline?

Sorry, the online application system will automatically stop working after the deadline; therefore, we encourage you to submit your application well before the deadline in order to avoid any inconvenience.

What is NTS?

NTS stands for National Testing Service. Within the essential premise of raising the quality of education, an important objective of NTS is to establish a credible, technically appropriate and accurate system of performance evaluation for students of various educational institutions at various levels. It thus assists in carrying out an estimated ranking of students for admissions in various educational institutions. For more details please Visit NTS website to learn more.

How to get registered for the NTS test? What is the procedure?

Visit nts.org.pk to register for upcoming tests online. Completely fill all the required details, attach two pictures and original deposit slip in favor of NTS Islamabad. Then post it on the address mentioned on the form. Clearly mention the test type on the envelope and also mention the test center in the form. Roll number slip with the test center and the test type will reach the candidates at least ten days before the test is scheduled to be held. Take this slip to the test center on the test date, along with your CNIC and attempt the test. Test result will be displayed on NTS website after three days of the test. In case roll number slip does not reach the candidate, check the NTS website for roll number, and take a print out of that roll number along.

What is the NTS-NAT and NTS-GAT schedule?

Will the COMSATS University offer a separate test as the dates of NTS have past?

When Admissions are announced a set of test dates are also announced. These include test dates of NTS centralized and specific tests for CUI only as well. The candidates can register for these tests through the campus, and appear in the test conducted on campus. The result cards for the centralized (national level) tests are issued by NTS. However, the result cards of the tests conducted on campus will not be issued and will not have the validity of two years as in case of NTS national level tests.

How to apply for admission in undergraduate / graduate programs at COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus?

Applicant will have to register himself/herself online and have to submit the online registration forms along with required documents and valid NTS score(in case of test given)if not send NTS deposit slip by hand or through courier service along with Rs.1000/= as a demand draft in the favor of COMSATS and NTS processing fee. What is the application procedure for students awaiting their results?

Students awaiting their results can apply based on submission of a Hope Certificate from the school/college last attended OR submit an affidavit on a stamp paper worth Rs. 50/- or Rs. 100/- that the candidate will fulfill the eligibility criteria of the our institute.

These students will be given conditional provisional offer of admission at CUI Abbottabad campus, subject to fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria of a degree program.

What is the merit calculation formula for result awaited (SSC) candidates and already HSSC passed candidates?

The merit calculation formula for SSC candidates is 50% SSC and 50% NTS.

The merit list calculation formula for HSSC candidates is 10% Matric, 40% HSSC, and 50% NTS.
