Yes, University is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
There are seven campuses of CUI.

Abbottabad campus, Lahore campus, Abbottabad Campus, Sahiwal Campus, Vehari Campus, Wah Campus, Attock Campus.
CUI follows semester system. There are two semesters in a year i.e Spring (February – June) and Fall (September – January).
There is no age limit. CUI provides equal opportunity to all the applicant purely on merit bases.
CUI Offers admissions in Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs twice in a year i-e Fall and Spring session.
Yes, all the engineering programs offer by CUI are recognized by Pakistan Engineering council.
Yes, COMSATS has highly qualified and experienced faculty in various disciplines in accordance with the guidelines provided by HEC.
Yes, all degree programs at all campuses of CUI are recognized by HEC and their relevant accreditation bodies.

No, admissions are offered on open merit basis.
Mostly all the campuses has hostel facility/hostel facilitation center, but it is better to contact respective Admission Office of that campus for further confirmation.
Yes, CUI provides transport facility to their students.
Fall semester commence in 1st week of September, whereas the Spring semester commence in 1st week of February.
CUI does not have credit hours transfer policy from any National or International Institute/university. However, a student of CUI can transfer his/her credit hours to other university either national or international.

English is a medium of instruction in CUI
At the time of admission, the applicant is required to enter his/her personal data (name, father name, Date of Birth (DOB)) in accordance to his/her Secondary School Certificate (SSC) / O-Levels certificate.

However, in case of any change in student name, you will be first required to get the SSC/O-Level DMC / Certificate revised and submit the revised SSC/O-Level certificate to CUI for change in name.

Please note that, you need to apply for the change in name or father name or DOB well before the printing of final transcript.

In case of applying after printing of transcript / Degree, you will be required to pay the prescribed fee.
CUI offers full time degree programs
Currently, no weekend programs are being offered by CUI.
Applicant can apply online through CUI admission portal.
The eligibility criteria varies from program to program. Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria of the desired program before applying.
Applicants must fulfill the eligibility requirements prescribed for the relevant MS program.
The admission processing fee is payable at the time of submission of the admission application.
Yes, result-awaiting applicants can apply subject to fulfillment of the applicable admission requirements.
Yes, A-Level applicants can apply for admission subject to fulfillment of the required eligibility criteria.
A-Level applicants are required to provide the applicable equivalence documentation as required by the admission process.
Applicants should follow the admission test requirements applicable to their selected program and admission session.
GAT requirements depend upon the relevant graduate program and admission criteria.
Merit is calculated according to the applicable CUI admission criteria for the relevant program and admission session.
Applicants may apply according to the choices and conditions provided in the admission portal for the respective admission session.
Program change is subject to the applicable CUI admission rules, merit and availability of seats.
Application cancellation and refund, where applicable, are subject to the rules and conditions of CUI.
Refund of admission-related fees is subject to the applicable CUI rules and conditions.
Applicants are required to submit the documents specified in the admission instructions for the relevant program and admission session.
The applicant should contact the concerned Admission Office for guidance regarding correction of the application.
Applicants can check their admission status through the CUI online admission portal.
The admission may be affected if the required documents are not submitted within the prescribed time and according to the applicable admission rules.
Applicants should select the campus and program according to the options available in the admission portal for the relevant admission session.
Submission of an application does not guarantee admission. Admissions are made according to the applicable eligibility, merit and seat availability requirements.
Result-awaiting candidates may apply where permitted under the admission rules, subject to fulfillment of the required qualification within the prescribed timeline.
Selected applicants are required to submit the prescribed dues according to the instructions and deadline communicated by CUI.
Failure to submit the prescribed dues within the specified deadline may result in cancellation of the admission offer according to the applicable admission rules.
Admission cancellation is subject to the applicable university rules and prescribed procedure.
Applicants may contact the concerned CUI Admission Office or consult the official admission portal for further information and the latest instructions.

Scholarships

The following scholarships are available at the time of admission. However, the candidate has to submit his/her dues which will be reimbursed later after completion of procedure and formalities.

Said scholarship is offered to the candidates who top the merit of each program. This scholarship is not transferable nor offered in case of change of program. Scholarship is valid for 8 semesters subject to meeting certain criteria.
Said scholarship applies to students enrolled in the following programs subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

  • Bachelor of Science in English
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics
  • Bachelor of Science in Media & Communications Studies
  • Bachelor of Science in Physics
  • Bachelor of Science in Economics
  • Bachelor of Science in International Relations
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Electronics Engineering

Upon completion of the admission process, the top five students on the merit list for the mentioned programs will be eligible for:

100% Tuition Fee Waiver if their aggregate merit is equal to or exceeds 75.

50% Tuition Fee Waiver if their aggregate merit is equal to or exceeds 65 but is less than 75.
Applicants shall submit their admission application forms through the CUI Online admission portal by opting for the choice of PWWF talent scheme along with specific required documents to make them eligible for the scholarship within the stipulated time.
There are numerous other Government / externally funded scholarships which announced from time to time during semester(s).
