(RACE), Pakistan Type-2 Diabetes Study, and 1000 Genome Pakistan, andGenetics
of Diabetes and Audit Research Tayside Study(GoDARTS) and GOSHARE. |
Research Interests
My expertise ranges from basic
pharmacological techniques to the specialization in analysis for disease-gene
association studies and Pharmacogenomics associations in experimental and
observational studies including genome-wide association studies (GWAS), genome
wide association meta-analysis (GWAMA). My major scientific interests center on
identifying genetic architecture of complex human diseases and traits (e.g.
cardiovascular diseases and drug response). My research focus is sources of
inter-patient variability in drug response, particularly cardiovascular drug
pharmacogenomics and disease-gene association that may be relevant to
pharmacogenomics, and the influence of race/ethnicity on drug response and
pharmacogenomics. The majority of my research centers around the
pharmacogenomics of antihypertensive and antidiabetic drugs. |
