Program Overview
The modern business world is undergoing rapid transformation as organizations shift from traditional decision making to data driven strategies. Emerging technologies, smarter devices and digital platforms are generating massive volumes of data across every business function. Understanding this data and using it intelligently has become central to competitiveness, efficiency and innovation.
Businesses today rely on data not only to monitor performance but also to predict customer behavior, optimize operations and design better products and services. This environment requires professionals who can work comfortably at the intersection of business knowledge and analytical expertise. The market demand for such graduates is rising sharply, while the availability of people with the right combination of analytical, computational and business skills remains limited.
The BS Business Data Analytics program at COMSATS Abbottabad was designed to address this gap. The Department of Management Sciences recognized early that the industry needs graduates who can convert raw data into meaningful business insights, support managerial decisions and contribute to digital transformation. The program combines foundational business education with modern courses in data science, machine learning and advanced analytics.
This four year degree enables students to build competencies that are relevant across industries including banking, telecom, health care, real estate, retail, public sector and entrepreneurial ventures. The first batch of the program at Abbottabad was inducted in Spring 2024.

Entry Requirements
- Intermediate or equivalent with at least fifty percent marks from an accredited institution
• NTS test with fifty percent marks as per CUI policy

The program encourages entrepreneurship and supports students interested in establishing their own startups. Career opportunities exist in multinationals, telecom companies, real estate, e commerce, fintech, consulting and other data driven business units.
