Profile/Bio
| Syed Fida Hussain Shah is currently working as Assistant Professor (Management Sciences), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Abbottabad. He has completed the MS from University of Bedfordshire UK in Entrepreneurship and Business Management in Year 2010. He earned commendation in his MS degree by obtaining A+ in the thesis of Applied Management Project (AMP) on the topic of Growing pains/ Growth Obstacles for SMEs. He also holds the degree of Masters in Information Technology (MIT) from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Abbottabad which was completed in year 2004. He has joined COMSATS Institute of Information Technology on June 13, 2001. He has in depth knowledge of the Administrative/operational management being involved in the various administrative and managerial assignments on different positions. He actively participated in organizing various events within the department and on National/International Level. He has worked on various key administrative posts including the Assistant Treasurer, Warden Incharge, Security Incharge, Mess Incharge, Transport Incharge, Incharge Student’s Affairs and Deputy Registrar. In recognition of this he has been awarded with the Dedication Award by the worthy Rector of the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology.
He became a part of Computer Science Faculty as a Lecturer in year 2004. He has taught the courses of Algorithms and Data Structures, discrete structures, programming, Computing and Information Technology to various classes at the Institute till 2009. He joined Management Sciences department as an Assistant professor in year 2010 and taught the courses of Entrepreneurship and Business Management to the different classes. He has a teaching experience of more than 10 years and an overall administrative experience around 18 years. He is an academician and a research scholar. His research interest includes Entrepreneurship, female entrepreneurs, SME growth, Rewards, E Business, E CRM and HR. He has published more than 10 research papers in international journals including HEC-Y category, ISI indexed and Impact factor journals besides many submitted and accepted papers for publication. This shows his strengths and aptitude towards research. |
