Electronics engineering is an engineering discipline which uses the scientific knowledge of the behavior and effects of electrons to develop components, devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. This is a broad engineering field that encompasses many subfields including those that deal with control and instrumentation engineering, telecommunications, semi-conductor circuit design, and many others.
Bachelors of Science in Electrical (Electronics) Engineering is one of the oldest programs of electrical engineering. Electronics engineering is the backbone of almost all technologies today. Electronics engineers have a broad spectrum of knowledge base. This allows them to work in areas ranging from maintenance, management, design, and reverse engineering. Electronic engineering involves the design and testing of electronic circuits that use the properties of components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors to achieve a particular functionality.
Application and admission
The general admission requirements are the same for all programmes.
Specific admission requirements
As per Pakistan Engineering Council requirements;
Intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Math, Chemistry / Computer Science/Computer Studies with minimum 60% marks.
OR DAE in relevant subject with minimum 60% marks
Electronic engineering is a profession that uses science, technology, and problem-solving skills to design, construct, and maintain products, services, and information systems.
An electronic engineer has to face a number of challenges ranging from problem identification and the selection of appropriate technical solutions, materials, test equipment, and procedures, to the manufacture and production of safe, economical, high-performance products and services needed in the present era of technological advancement.
