In line with addressing community needs and strengthening the foundations of Biotechnology, we have recently introduced a new program, BS Microbiology. By delving into core concepts of microbiology and their real-life applications, we enhance the understanding and practical applications of Biotechnology. Our vision includes achieving recognition for the outstanding quality, relevance, and impact of our research, as well as producing graduates who are sought after by stakeholders across various domains.
We aim to provide our students with a platform to excel in applied and technology-oriented fields of biology. To achieve this, we offer programs such as BS, MS, and PhD in biotechnology, as well as a BS in microbiology. Furthermore, our department envisions introducing more specialized programs to develop skilled human resources for the domestic and international job markets in the field of allied health sciences, including medical laboratory technology and synthetic biology, in the near future. As a department, we aspire to be at the forefront of cutting-edge research and teaching, both on a national and international level. Our diverse research groups actively work on key areas such as agriculture, health, environment, industrial biotechnology, microbiology, and computational biology.
