IRS provides Internet and other IT services to 450+ faculty, 80+ officers, 300+ staff, 6000+ students, and educational clients from the community. The IRS (formerly ISP) section was established in 2001 as a Community Internet Services Provider at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Abbottabad Campus. IRS has a long history of successful projects for the CUI and community clients. A well-sized data center is established to manage and maintain the core IT services and mission-critical data. IRS is eager to start educational-centric cloud services e.g., Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Storage as a Service (SaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), etc.

Moreover, IRS also provides audio/video conferencing services. The video conferencing services are versatile having IP/hardware-based and software-based conferencing services. IRS has hosted hundreds of audio/video Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint at national and international levels. Many seminars, workshops, trainings, and meetings have been hosted using our audio/video conferencing services.

Another major contribution towards skills development and training the future workforce is our comprehensive IT trainings program. We have trained 2000+ students under our Cisco Networking Academy Program. Our Training portfolio is objective based client-centric having a bunch of certified trainers having 10+ years of training profiles. Our skills development programs are also extended to faculty and other professionals to uplift digital literacy and skills enhancement toward achieving the digital transformation objectives.
