Student Affairs

Mission of Student Affairs

Student Affairs Office at CUI Abbottabad Campus facilitates students and provides solutions to their routine problems/issues on campus. One window operations are carried out and staff ensures that each and every query of students is addressed with satisfactory results.

How Student Affairs Facilitate Student:

Students initiate applications through an online portal called Student Application Processing System (SAPS) being managed by Student Affairs. After submitting the required fee and documents, the applications are sorted out department wise (Registrar office, Examination Office, Graduate Office, Accounts Section) and sent to the concerned departments for processing. After receiving the certificates from the departments, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

  1. Provision of certificates

The following Certificates are provided by Student Affairs

  1. Character Certificate
  2. English Proficiency Certificate
  3. Studying Certificate
  4. Fee Equivalence Certificate (WWB Students)

The students are required to apply online from their respective student console. After the initialization of the application, urgent cases (fee Rs 400/-) are handed over to the respective students on the same day whereas the normal cases (fee Rs 200/-) are given to the students within 3 days. The fee Equivalence certificate is free for all students and other certificates are free for passed out students.

  1. Certificates related to the exam section.

2.1 Course studied Certificate

After the initialization of the application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 200/- (normal) or Rs 400/- (urgent). Paid receipt is submitted to student affairs and then the application will be initialized through SAPS for further processing by the examination section. After receiving the certificates from the exam section, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.2 Medals and Certificates

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, the application is forwarded to exam section for issuance for medals and certificates. After receiving the certificates and medals from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.3 Migration Certification (Graduate students)

After the initialization of the application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 2500. The application is forwarded to exam section for issuance of migration certificate. After receiving the migration certificate from exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.4 Provisional Certificate

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 200/- (normal) or Rs 400/- (urgent). The application is forwarded to the exam section for issuance of a provisional certificate. After receiving the provisional certificate from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.5 Document Verification

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit a demand draft of Rs 2000 per document in favor of COMSATS University Islamabad, Principle Seat. The demand draft is submitted to the student affairs office along with copy of the transcript or Degree. The application is forwarded to exam section for further processing. After receiving the verified document from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.6 Issuance of Transcript and Degree

Student Affairs issue transcript and the degree to all the pass out students. Students are advised to apply for clearance from their student portal. After clearance, request form of transcript and degree is forwarded to exam section. After receiving the transcript and degree from exam section, the same will be issued to students at front desk.

2.7 Incomplete Transcripts

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 4000. The paid receipt is submitted to student affairs and the application is forwarded to the exam section for further process. After receiving the incomplete transcript from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.8 No Objection Certificate (NOC)

After the initialization of application by the student from their console they are required to submit Rs. 200/- (normal) or Rs 400/- (urgent). The paid receipt is submitted at student affairs and the application is forwarded to exam section for further process. After receiving NOC from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

2.9 Duplicate degree and transcripts (in case of damaged or lost of original)

After the initialization of the application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 4000/ for a duplicate transcript and or Rs 15000/ for a duplicate degree- The paid receipt is submitted to student affairs, and the application is forwarded to exam section for further process. After receiving a duplicate degree/transcript from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk. Moreover, the following documents are required for the issuance of duplicate degrees or transcripts.

  • Affidavit is dully notarized with laps of 20 days after newspaper advertisement.
  • Fee Paid receipt
  • Newspaper Advertisement
  • Copy of FIR

2.10 Revised degree and transcripts

After the initialization of the application by the student from their console they are required to submit Rs. 4000/ for duplicate transcript and or Rs 15000/ for a duplicate degree- The paid receipt is submitted at student affairs and the application is forwarded to exam section for further process. After receiving the revised degree/transcript from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk. Moreover, the following documents are required for the issuance of a revised degree or transcript.

  • Fee Paid receipt
  • Newspaper Advertisement
  • Revised Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate.
  • Original Degree and Transcript.

2.11 Surety/Hope Certificate

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 200/- (normal) or Rs. 400/- (urgent). The paid receipt is submitted to student affairs and the application is forwarded to the exam section for further process. After receiving the surety/hope certificate from the exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at the front desk.

3) Certificate related to Registrar Office

3.1 Marks/ Percentage Equivalence Certificate

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 200/- (normal) or Rs 400/- (urgent). The paid receipt is submitted at the student affairs and the application is forwarded to registrar office for further process which will be further forward to exam section. After receiving Marks/ Percentage Equivalence Certificate from exam department, the same will be issued to the applicants at front desk.

3.2 Course Completion Certificate

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 200/- (normal) or Rs 400/- (urgent). The paid receipt is submitted at the student affairs and the application is forwarded to registrar office for further process. After receiving course completion certificate from registrar office, the same will be issued to the applicants at front desk.

3.3 Inter Campus Migration Cases.

After the initialization of application by the student from their console. Students are required to submit a Demand Draft of Rs. 10000 in favour of COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad campus along with SSC, HSSC, passport size picture, and CNIC. The paid receipt along with all the required document is submitted at the student affairs and the application is forwarded to registrar office for further necessary action.

  1. Account section for Fee Refund and Security Refund Applications.

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, the application is forwarded to accounts section for further process. After receiving fee or security refund cheque from accounts department, the same will be issued to the applicants at front desk

  1. HR section for student cards

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit Rs. 500/ and affidavit for lost ID card. The paid receipt is submitted at the student affairs and the application is forwarded to HR office. After receiving student ID card from HR section, the same will be issued to the applicants at front desk.

  1. Clearance initialization on behalf of students for their Admission cancelation

After the initialization of application by the student from their console, they are required to submit an application along with a student ID card. The application is forwarded to registrar office and Graduate Office section office for further necessary action.

7-Process Re-admission cases of DI Students

After submitting the semester fee, students are required to initialize an application. The application is forwarded to registrar office or the Graduate Office section office for further necessary action.
